It is alot of fun and frustrating and it gets expensive but it is satisfying and rewarding especially when you formulate one that works and I mean works

i agree aldehyde
for beginners i tell them to save thier glands as this helps to cut back the cost and then mix in formations in small amounts and write it down .once you get a good formula you can proceed to make larger volumes

You could try adding the bile from the gall bladders. As you know, bile helps break down food as it passes through your intestines, and food decays in about 24 hours in your intestines- that's pretty fast in there. Maybe the bile would help to break down the cat meat in a similar way. DH adds gall bladders to his glands when he's rotting them for this very reason.

never tried lime but i don't feel it would work because of the odor it leaves. my wife uses lime on making dill pickels and it leaves a stroung odor and i do mean stroung odor and it gives the pickels a burning taste when mixed with vinagar.

i to use the urine and gall bladders when it comes to glands and will work in the meat process if you have plenty of them.the urine works the same way.some meat don't have enuff water or juice in it and when you mix a low amount of liquid to it will help get the process working a little faster
