Been busy trapping beaver and yotes last couple of weeks for a few farmers around here. Trying to scout as much as I can my regular trapping grounds. I'm doing these nuisance jobs for trapping rights. I'm trying to go slow with them so they will have time to get prime.

Bill, how far from the Florida line are you in Alabama? I plan on heading to the panhandle in January to do some beaver trapping, and I will be saving all of my glands from yotes and fox, and I may get some cats a man wants gone from his pastures. If you aren't to far in, I could just bring them up and save shipping. Let me know what canine glands you want and how you want them, and I will save all I can.

I was hoping to be trapping by now, but my meat buyers don't want meat until the first frost. The weatherman says 2 more weeks of around 90 degree weather, so I am going to wait and see what the weather does. I think I will put out a cage trap tomorrow night to see what the fur looks like and go from there. Down here, there is no sense putting K-9 sets out until the coons are right, I cant keep them out!

Which glands do you take from the coons? I plan on removing all of the glands that I can sell from any yotes or coons and I don't really know how. I have been trying to find as much reading material as i can, and I have a pretty good idea, but if there is any certain gland you need from the coons, let me know.

I will save all I can. I talked to one of my coon buyers today and he wants some now. Our deer season opens Saturday the 14, so I plan on trying to kill my meat for the winter this week end, and spend next weekend setting out 75-100 coyote traps. That should keep me in coon for a few weeks until they are thinned out enough for the yotes to get to the sets before the coons!

yes you can put the galls with the anal glands just push the dropping out of the anal glands but keep the urine in the galls
